| I can build reply or response forms for a site, and set up
Mailto links so the viewer can write to the site owner. I also have added
sound and animation to sites, although most commercial sites should use
these options sparingly. Well written copy will do more for
your business than lots of splashy graphics. Thumbnail images, linking to
larger graphics will speed up the load time of many pages, allowing the
viewer to load only the larger images desired. |
WHAT I USE -

| I use a variety of authoring and editing tools. Along
with hand-coded HTML, I also use Microsoft FrontPage 2000. I can either
scan your photos with my color scanner for publication, or edit your
digital photos with one of several image editing programs. I prefer to
scan photographs as opposed to using a digital camera since the quality
and resolution is much better, but I will work with your digital
photographs. |

Quality ChildCare is a site owned by my wife. It advertises her
babysitting services and is a very new site, just created in January of
2000. While mostly informational at this time, we plan to add some
"Freebies" to this site, like screensavers, articles on child
care and games. Check it often to see what happens next! |

and Carol Maurer's Home Page is a site that I made for my parents.
It showcases some FrontPage themes with active graphic buttons. I have
also included a guestbook feature on this site. You can view thumbnail
pictures and other items on their pages. There are also links to some
other sites they enjoy on this site which open in a new browser window.
This techniques allows folks to leave your site, yet still have your site
available. |

Home on the Web is my personal site provided by my ISP. This site
will have more animation and sounds than the other sites, since it is more
or less a fun site. There are pictures of my kids on this site in
thumbnail format. This site has a free guestbook and 2 link adding
features, powered by Lycos htmlGear. The favorite link feature allows
visitor to my site to add their favorite links to a list. This list is
moderated, in other words, I get an e-mail notification when someone has
used the feature, and their link is not added until I have approved it.
This allows for control over the content that gets posted there. The links
that are added are click-able and a hit counter is provided for each link.
The other link feature is similar, the difference is that this link is for
sites that contain help or technical information. |

Applets and Animations site contains some interesting images
created using Java scripting and also Microsoft Gif Animator. This is a
personal site where I test out new ideas, especially in graphics. |
